GGL Documentation

Access and download official Green Gold Label standards, instructions, and guidances within the GGL Documentation.

Good to know before you start...

In October-2025 the GGL Foundation launched its new Documentation.

The 50+ GGL Documents are structured across (1) Overall GGL Documents and GGL Modules with (2) Instructions and (3) Guidances. GGL's regulatory modules align regulatory requirements with the proven and tested GGL Standards.

This modularity is key: it makes sure that the GGL Scheme is recognized in multiple, different jurisdictions while the Overall GGL Documents always apply so certified GGL Participants can trade globally.

To navigate across and interpret the GGL Documentation, please read GGL Document structure.

By October-2025 GGL is recognized for:

  1. SDE++ by the Dutch Government / RVO
  2. FIT/FIP by the Japanese Government with its FIT/FIP Module

The RED Module of GGL is in the process of being approved by the European Commission. More information about this: Pending Topics.
